To create this logo and brand, knowing queer history came in handy. The purple and pink color scheme was already established, but it was perfect to highlight the queer background this artist has. Lavender and pink were long time colors to identify queer individuals in history, oftentimes with intention to harm. Since then, the LGBTQ+ community has reclaimed those colors and that’s why those colors are included in this logo. Plus, the stripes on the side hint at a rainbow shape to show that Darren is one within the community.
