When a local artistic legend’s artwork was making its first appearance in the United States, the Griffin Gallery at Creekside in Gahanna, Ohio contacted me for help. The gallery manager and I teamed up to pitch our marketing plan to the collection owner. We had the goal of selling at least 20 pieces of the never-before-seen pieces of art. We developed a strategy using a series of emails to their subscriber list, live expert interviews on social media, and showcasing the local and global significance of the artists through social media. At the end of the exhibition, we sold 16 paintings in total.
